Marketing Internship (remote, unpaid)

The Marketing Intern will improve Brownsburg Older Adult Alliance’s (BOAA’s) on-line presence. The job is an integral part of strategically communicating across all channels. The internship role will increase the community’s knowledge of BOAA, demonstrate the impact BOAA is making in the community, and encourage community members to support BOAA.
Responsibilities

Create Impact enewsletter and fundraising campaign communications

Update Wix website as needed, solve problems that arise, (updating SEO, pictures, calendar, etc.)

Increase engagement of Facebook audiences.

Increase community involvement in BOAA volunteer, outreach and fundraising efforts

Implement Testimonials in media

Improve the visibility of BOAA on-line by posting meaningful information on Google Business Listing, Apple maps and Bing

Create promo videos to engage with community and supporters and recruit volunteers
Time Commitment
-
15 - 20 hours per week during summer, 5 hours per week fall/spring semester

While the schedule is flexible and can be performed remotely, there may be a few meetings at BOAA in Brownsburg.

No weekend or evening meetings. (Exception, if you attend a board meeting.)

Twice a week meeting with Director

Preference given to those who can commit to 1 year internship
Qualifications

Reliable, self-motivated and eager to learn

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Able to multitask and complete assignments on time within reasonable deadlines

Website Design (knowledge of WIX or desire to learn)

Marketing classes/interest

Facebook posting
-
Video creation and editing
-
Availability to start May, 2023
